Abstract: A work place and particularly its organizational culture of work environment (flexible working hours, the kindness of colleagues, on-site library resources) determines also the success of further education and is a spur for this activity – sometimes difficult but important for employees. Tertiary education plays several functions: make easier the adaptation to work, gives the opportunity to make the second choice of a career, supports the development of cognitive interests of students, increase the enthusiasm to continue learning, therefore is a part of lifelong learning strategy.
