The need for making higher education more realistic – the academic education from the students’ perspective

Abstract: The paper presents own research on the students' opinions, expectations and requirements towards higher education. It presents the subjective opinions of students about their preparation to enter the labour market. It also presents the feedback from the evaluation of the role of the university in preparing them to transition to the labour market (the facts) and expectations (as desired – what higher education should do in this aspect).
