Shaping and developing competences through work and work experience

Abstract: The article analyzes the effects of work in the course of study, using data on working students of the Academy of Special Pedagogy. In particular it examines the importance of the work for shoping and developing competence of students. The theoretical considerations is the underpinnings of human capital theory. The results suggest to benefit from the employment in both material and intangible contect to the development of competence, in particular those of a personal, human resources meet the needs of modern organizations.
