Streszczenie: Zasadniczą tezą niniejszego artykułu jest to, że prace Lwa Wygotskiego oddziałują na współczesne teorie uczenia się dorosłych. W pracy przedstawiono, w jakim zakresie dokonuje się ów wpływ. Uwzględniono m.in. rozumienie pojęcia uczenie się i jego związku z rozwojem człowieka, koncepcję strefy najbliższego rozwoju oraz roli nauczyciela w procesie uczenia się dorosłych.

Abstract: The main thesis of this article is that Lev Vygotsky’s work is influencing contemporary theories of adult learning. The paper explores the extent to which this influence can be observed. It discusses, the understanding of the concept of learning and its relationship to human development, the concept of the zone of proximal development and the role of the teacher in the adult learning process.
